Renting vs Buying A Home – Pros And Cons

Both renting and buying a home offers advantages and disadvantages. So before you rent or buy a home, make sure to know what suits you best in the short or long term.

Here’s an infographic from Property24 that can help you decide what road to choose. Either way, choose the one that suits your budget and lifestyle.

  • Thanks for sharing the infographic. In our case naman, we’re saving to build our own house. I think it’s cheaper compared to buying an already-built house.

  • I have some regret about not buying a house earlier than I intended. Had I done it when I was starting to earn enough, I would have been halfway through the payment now. No more procrastination.

  • Hmmm, very timely, as we really don’t know what to do if we should try and get a loan for a house or just forever rent! But, I know my heart and mind say, we really should start looking for a house to own. Or any rent to own schemes- would you know any? Help would be greatly appreciated! (Preferably, Silang, Cavite) 🙂

    Thanks!

  • Before we got married, we are thinking of renting a house near or work place. However, upon scouting we found out that the monthly rental fee is almost the same as monthly amortization when we will get a new house in a subdivision.
Also, renting will not make the house yours. So we settled getting a house instead of renting.
